DAVID ARANDA

DAVID ARANDA is a singer-songwriter, producer, actor, and dancer from San Luis Potosí, Mexico. He released his newest single Call Me Up  debuting it at the Mexican Pride Awards (POM) in Mexico City. The music video has become his most seen video yet. In February 2025 he was selected as a spokesperson for international radio station UASLP. His singles PLEASE! and Often (feat. Elale) were produced in Los Angeles at Coke Studio alongside producers Dom Capuano, Francisco Aranda and Jonathan Cohen. He has opened for international artists such as Espinoza Paz at the FENAPO, and Esteman at the Festival San Luis en Primavera. 

 

In 2021 he released his self-written debut EP Dreaming Underwater. The lead single You Keep Haunting My Dreams was part of the selection of the Gladiator Film Festival and awarded “Outstanding Achievement Award (Music Video)” at the Indie Short Fest in Los Angeles. His second music video for It's up to You (Let's go to Hell) was selected to open the screenings of the Cult Cinema Festival at the Cineteca Alameda in San Luis Potosí.

In July 2018, David was part of the prestigious contemporary vocal summer workshop at New York University (NYU). He also has certifications from Berklee College of Music on music production. In 2022 he moved to Los Angeles to specialize in Music Production and Songwriting. He was awarded a scholarship by Sony Music Publishing at the Heroes and Legends Awards gala in Beverly Hills.   

David is a founding member of the theatre company "Stellae Teatro Musical", working as an actor, vocal coach and choral director of productions such as Spring Awakening (2018), Timbiriche El Musical (2019), both in the Polivalente Theatre; Dear Evan Hansen (2019) at the prestigious Teatro de la Paz; Waitress (2021) and Mean Girls (2022) at the Bicentenary Theatre. In 2023, he composed the score for Acontecer, with successful runs in Mexico City and San Luis Potosí

David showed musical abilities from an early age, starting to sing on local stages at the age of  10. He began his musical studies at 12 years old. At 18 years old, David was accepted into the Classical Vocal Program at the Center of Arts of San Luis Potosí, being a student of the renowned Mexican Soprano Patricia Mena di Stefano and the famous Tenor Arturo Barrera. During this period, David was part of several classical music projects such as Motivos Maternales at the Rafael Nieto Auditorium and the Ponciana at the Municipal Palace of San Luis Potosí.
